Projects
I have experience leading and collaborating on projects for major newsrooms, as well as local ones. My areas of interest and expertise include: audience and community engagement, product development, social media and communications strategy, and UX design. I'm particularly invested in finding human-centered design solutions for newsrooms. Check out what I've been working on lately:

Vox.com
Role: Audience Engagement Strategist
Timeline: July - December 2021
For my capstone project, I partnered up with the audience engagement team at Vox.com to develop, design and prototype a new product centralizing Vox's audience engagement and crowdsourcing efforts to drive more robust and routine participation from readers.

The Boston Globe
Role: Project Manager
Timeline: January - May 2021
As part of a second-semester Studio 20 project, I currently lead a team of seven classmates in the creation of three unique products for Globe Opinion that help showcase diverse points of view, model more productive debates, and engage with younger audiences.

The Epicenter NYC
Role: Project Coordinator
Timeline: December 2020 - February 2021
In partnership with The Epicenter NYC newsletter, I led a team of four in the design and launch of a low-cost, flexible model for building strong relationships and collaborative reporting in the community. Our team was awarded second-place prize in the 2021 Reynolds Journalism Institute's Student Innovation Competition hosted by the Missouri School of Journalism.

Talking Points Memo
Role: Audience Engagement Editor

I worked with a team of seven classmates to create a weekly audience-centric newsletter, using polling and audience participation to deepen existing relationships with TPM’s online member forum, "The Hive."

Reporters Without Borders/Reporters sans frontiers
Role: Communications Manager
Timeline: November, 2018
After the horrific murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, my team advocated fiercely for Congress to hold the powerful Saudi actors behind his death accountable. I was honored to be selected to speak at Khashoggi's memorial service on behalf of RSF in Washington, DC.

Reporters Without Borders/Reporters sans frontiers
Role: Communications Manager
Timeline: 2017-2019
Between 2017-2019, I helped compile Reporters Without Borders' flagship World Press Freedom Index, a data-driven advocacy tool which uses qualitative and quantitative metrics to analyze and rank 180 countries by level of press freedom, and organized an annual event launching the release of the report in collaboration with the Washington Post Live team.
